In 1973, Pineville became an Incorporated municipality. Con Mills developed from an industrial plant built in 189p into a thriving mill that played a major role in our developing economy.
Pineville operates its own electric and telephone companies, a volunteer fire department and police station. We sponsor many annual activities including our Summer "Rockin' and Reelin," an outdoor music and film series; an October Fall Festival; a Christmas lighting and decoration contest; Camp Pineville and a Senior's Valentine's Day Party.
